GSGH winner limerick #4

Marni finally coughed up the correct answer to the fourth installment of the Great Seattle Gargoyle Hunt. She felt it was too easy because, as the only human who has read every word of every blog entry I’ve ever posted and a person with a faultless memory, she immediately suspected that the lion overlooking Second Avenue at Cherry Street from the eastern face of the Hoge Building had appeared on my blog before, as indeed it had.

Voila! Or as Ray Barone might say...wah lah.

Fulfilling her lifelong dream that someone would use her name in a limerick, here follows her reward for exemplary sleuthing. Thanks for playing, Marni!

In a too-smart assessment befitting her
Marni thought that our game might be twitting her
For she — hardly tryin’
Located our lion
The truth is there’s just no outwitting her

Who are these people who haven’t read every blog entry? And can we imagine yet again what a “colorful” limerick it could have been if you allowed last names? The mind bogles at the delicious possibilities.
